Mileage calculation

Is there any way to determine miles traveled in EV mode vs hybrid mode other than keeping track as you drive? I have only a vague idea how many miles I have put on the ICE.
 
I keep track of gallons of gas used, then figure about 40 MPG in hybrid mode: The rest is EV.

I use an app called Fuelly to record my fuel purchases.
 
I also have assumed 40 mpg with the ICE. Just wondering if that can be verified in any way other than brute force, i. e., driving a long way without the battery and then filling the tank.
 
Similar to others, I keep track of gas purchases (via an Excel spreadsheet... yeah, I know... it's old-school) and use the "hand grenade method" (40 mpg) to calculate ICE miles.

I've run plenty of tests using the brute force method and have gotten anywhere from a low of 32 (winter) to highs of 54 (summer around town). So a 40 mpg average is not unreasonable but you could also be very far off depending on conditions.
 
Agree with that assessment - here in CT during the winter (especially driving on day trips further north/uphill towards NH and VT) it is definitely in the lower 30's even with limited heating and depending on speed/conditions I've seen in the 50s. Wish there was a more accurate way but for what we need, 40 is good enough unless you really have concentrated driving that pushes it towards one of those ends of the range.
