Map updates- Do they exist?

I followed the instructions. Used a 16GB drive from Honda from CRV map update purchase. It did start the install and after about 45 minutes, it said "failed' message. I will try with another drive. What version do you guys see with the latest update?

Software Version : 2.08
HONDA: 2.00
Hydrogen Stations: 3.00
...

I tried the update and got the "failed" message too. My device info shows the same versions as yours, so who's to know if it actually failed or not. Can somebody who successfully did the update please check the info on their in-car unit and post what the versions are?

I tried updating again, this time I downloaded on a Windows machine. Same USB stick. It succeeded but I found nothing new. Same version numbers.

I put the update on a little over a month ago and it succeeded. The software version shows 2.08 but I don't know what it was before the update.

Looks like failure or success, the same version numbers show up. Either that means it is a false failure message, or a successful update doesn't really update anything.
