So I'm into EV's and would love to own one however, due to my income and the fact that I have 6 kids and do alot of truck related things .. It got me thinking that I always wanted a M35a2 Deuce and a Half but the environmentalist in me would always be appalled at the gas mileage and the inability to go past 50 mph would drive me bonkers lol. But my point is in asking if anyone in the history of time has ever converted one these monsters into an EV? And what would you think it would take? I imagine me slapping solar panels on the top and sides for a nice self charging ride lol.
I've seen 'one time' conversion of a Hummer and Bob Lutz tried to convert GM gliders to EV (see Via Motors.) Every now and then we've seen someone propose an electric RV to the sound of crickets.
FYI, if you can live with a Class 8, semi-trailer truck, ~80,000 lbs, there are a wide range of demo trucks. There may be some smaller delivery trucks but it is not a market I follow.
