Low speed follow

We Are about to cross the city in intense traffic, I’ve never used LSF before.

Some questions for the experts:

1. How do you turn it on?

2. Does it work on city streets with traffic lights? Or does it work on jammed highways? Does it work on both?

3. How good is it?

When you turn ACC soon it includes low speed follow.

Works great in City traffic or major slow downs on a freeway. It senses the car in front of you. Doesn't know anything about stop signs or traffic signals.

It works quite well. We've had all of those conditions today.

If, when following a vehicle, your car comes to a full stop you will need to click the Res+ button or trap the accelerator pedal to resume.

What jdonalds said, but if you are on ECON, when you resume the car, the car will accelerates really slow so you may want to use the GO pedal to help it along...

You can speed up the acceleration so as not to aggravate the driver behind you by taking it out of Econ or putting it in Sport. Works for any speed.

Rant time. I've read studies and seen video demonstrations where in stop-and-go freeway traffic it's actually better to slowly accelerate and brake to smooth out the flow instead of pushing hard to start only to brake hard when the traffic slows again.

But yeah, people behind you tend to get aggravated when you let a gap get in front of you, even if only temporary.

Natural lane selection will take care of any gaps you leave in front of you in heavy traffic. Then the car that just cut in front of your Clarity and hit its brakes will slow you down again.
