The driver side rear window on my Clarity screams horribly when raised or lowered. Seems like the weatherstripping has twisted itself around and it's trying to stick to the window.

I have no idea whether this is a DIY kind of deal or whether I need help to get at the strip. I'm also not quite sure what to call the d*mn thing. (Googling suggests "dew wipe.")

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Doesn't sound familiar to me, but reading your description made me think about something that you could consider trying...
Are you certain this weaterstrip is twisted? If it is just rubbing / screaching, you might try Rain X. Your situation reminded me of a windshield wiper screaching against the windshield. For the wiper scenario, Rain X has been reported to help. At least you know that it is compatible with glass and rubber, so it would do no harm.

No experience with the Clarity but the outside strip typically only needs simple pry tools and knowledge of the correct procedure to remove (have locking hooks) while the inside one requires door panel removal to get to.
