Normally when you close all doors the car beeps once, then when you either walk away, or press the button on the handle, or press the FOB close button the car will beep 1 more time and lock.

Recently (2019 Clarity) the second beep has been intermittent, sometimes its there, sometimes its not. First beep seems to always be there. The car still locks (I checked all doors they are all locked), but no beep?

Has anyone experienced anything like that?

Do the parking, amber, lights flash with the beep? Usually no beep and lights means a door or the hood is open. On mine it was the hood switch that needed to be adjusted.

I have randomly experienced multiple beeps when I close and walk away from my car. I have to open and close the doors several times to make it go away. In no case did it look like the door was improperly closed.

That can happen if you get too far away from the car too soon after exiting.

My car started not replying back with a beep when I would press the lock button twice on my remote. Took me a couple months to figure out that someone tried to break into my car via the manual cylinder lock on the driver door handle. The slot on the cylinder was stuck on the 2 o'clock position instead of being vertical. Replacing the lock cylinder fixed the problem of no beep and also my car doors randomly unlocking sometimes while I drove.

I'm sorry your Clarity was violated, but that's really good info to have on the forum. Thanks!
