I test drove a VW ID4 the other day. It defaults to 0 regen, but you can switch it to regen manually. That level of regen is close to what regen level of 2 would be on the Kona. There is no other option: regen or no regen. It does have different driving modes, but couldn't determine if regen varied between modes (dealer said it did not). Couldn't get the lane keep assist to work either, and dealer wasn't much help. Even with regen on, the car will not come to a stop, much like the Kona, so it's not one pedal driving.
It was considerably quieter than my 2019 Kona, but was a little more sluggish in handling. It's quite a bit longer than the Kona and longer wheel base too.

Thanks for the report. Some friends in WA have the VW and very much like it. Seems largely comparable to our Kona.
