Kona EV beeping a LOT

Trying to find the meaning of this.

When I push the start button all the lights on the dash light up (all error codes). The battery meter comes on, however, the central light with the speedo etc and information section do not.

After a short period it makes a lot of short fast beeps (like 5 a second) for about 10 seconds then stops. No way to put in gear or turn on car, no real way to tell what's wrong.

Also noticed if I push start button with foot on brake it feels like the brake is fighting me like the antilock brakes are triggering.

Finally cannot lock or unlock doors. or roll windows up/down. Not even sure how to describe this really.

Not sure what year model but indicators appear similar to 12V battery level is low...suggest check 12V battery @ 12.6 V

The whole brake-pedal- resistance behaviour is very familiar to me as it happened every time my 12 volt was dying.

yup, the anti-lock brake computer is misfunctioning during it's POST (power-on self test) sequence. charge or replace the 12v.

Can confirm with the responses in this thread. Ended up doing a lot of google searching last night and came to same conclusion.

New battery was installed (not exactly same but it fits). Now operates normally.

2020 Kona, lasted 110k kms
