All trims are eligible to the 5000$ rebate:

Essential
Preferred
Preferred Long Range
Preferred AWD Long Range

Now it remains to be determine if the "Ultimate" is considered a package or a trim... If a package, then it should also qualify because packages do not count towards the maximum amount of 55K$ used to calculate eligibility for the rebate. Would be nice to get official confirmation! Anyone knows?

I am not sure how it remains to be determined as it clearly states on the Hyundai pre order page that the "ultimate" is a package for the Preferred AWD long range trim.

Yes, but it seems like only the Preferred AWD long range can add the ultimate package, so I wonder if the federal government will consider it a package if it can’t be added on all trims…

It would be nice if the IZEV website explicitly mentioned the Ultimate AWD, but in a way it's good that they don't. As others have noted, the Ultimate option is positioned as a package on the Preferred AWD variant, and it does qualify for the credit. So I think we are safe.

Thanks (in part) to Ionic 5 sales contribution, Hyundai (7299) now is the leader in iZEV rebates half way thru 2022, beating out runner up Tesla (7054) :)

Tesla Model 3 RWD unavailable for the $5,000 Federal iZEV rebate after November 23, 2021 17:01 PST due to price hikes. In Quebec the RWD still qualifies for the $7,000 provincial rebate (previously $8,000)!

$12,000 off the IONIQ5 is still a fantastic deal in Quebec!!
