Welcome to the EV world! And yes, the feeling of instant, silent power is wonderful -- after 17 months of ownership, I still love it. And yeah, the ID 4 -- much like my Hyundai Kona, seems like one of those crossovers that's marketed as an SUV but at best just barely qualifies as one. I think of my car as a tall hatchback -- which is okay by me, since I'm not exactly going to take on the Rubicon Trail -- but marketing has started to obliterate distinctions between types of vehicles. FWIW, I think a lot of manufacturers are still struggling with how to best calibrate the safety nannies. They're great, but imperfect.
