Sorry for the delay, it has been a mess the new owners of Inside EV's didn't even know they owned half of these forums so that's why they disconnected the link although we've kept the link to them.

I've got good news and bad news, hopefully everyone is positive about what we can become after the adjustment. I'm an open book and always open to community input. I have 25 years managing the 15M post FerrariChat community and per my profile I was a Tesla S owner up until the divorce. :)

Good news we now own 100% of the Forums!

Good news we can do whatever we want 100%!

If we want to start doing content articles and videos like Inside EV's, we can!

We are now free if we want to hire people to help here, we can! Dom, you still around? :D

Bad news Inside EV's still won't link to us and we will remove the link to them.

Bad news we have to change the name of the forums here.

Please let me know what questions and suggestions you have, I really would like to grow this community and we are free to expand, even into areas Inside EV's competed.

Thank you,
rob

Well I'd like to stay with this site whatever the name. My personal preference would be written articles as opposed to videos. I haven't got the time to deal with the verbal diarrhea in most videos. Never use 2 words when 25 will do. This makes the vids just too damn long to bother with.

As I've mentioned in a previous post the quality of comments here seems to be pretty good. INSIDE EVs does have some decent comments but there's far too much personal mudslinging between certain individuals along with arrogant " know it alls " and political hacks who consider anyone who thinks differently as just plain stupid. It's unfortunate that some of the decent commentators haven't discovered how to access this forum or I'm sure they'd be here.

So by all means bring in good well rounded articles however you can get them but take a strong stance on comment quality right from the get go by screening out the mud slingers and politically biased hacks. Give us the ability to block out comments from certain individuals. I'd be willing to pay a modest membership fee to help support the site as well. Hope this works out. Best regards

Those are good suggestions. I would modify one and add:
  • "Regen Rules Network" to "RegenRules"
  • "AmpErUp" - Larry the Cable guy
    • "PlugErIn" - Larry double entendre version
  • "EVPowerPeople" - Juneteenth
  • "NoMoGas" - what we do
  • "XcountryEV - how we vacation and where we want the country to go
  • "WattsHappenN"
  • "KissMyAmps" - abandoned by JuiceBox
  • "GeekEV"
Rats! I'll be dreaming a spreadsheet to concatenate every variant.

Ultimately our moderator(s) need a name that succinctly expresses their posting goals. Good goals attracts good posters.

I suggest you use a new name to f*** with the owners who bought Inside EVs. Possibilities:

Outside EVs
In-Sighed EVs
Inn-Side EVs (with a photo of an EV next to a Holiday Inn sign)
Better than Inside EVs

most of the good suggestions here were taken.

I tried about 2 dozen appropriate names and they were already taken.

I did snag evscommunity.com, what do you think?

Our parent also has some ev related domain names stashed away, let me ask them what we could use and I'll post here.

Thanks, I'll keep you updated.

evscommunity.com looks good. (I was surprised that evinsights.com already has a price tag of $6k on it.)

I think "evcommunity.com" might be a bit better if available, but "evscommunity.com" is pretty good in my opinion.
