My son just put in a pre-order for an XRT. He was looking at the Ford and Chevy EV trucks, but after seeing the articles and specs about the XRT, he decided he wants this one. It should be good enough for our cabin road, and can tow an impressive 5000 lbs. Plus good range and fast charging like the other I5s and the I6. won't be available until later next year, but that is OK with him.

I laughed when Car and Driver's headline for its article on the XRT knocked (appropriately, IMO) the original I5 for not having a rear wiper:

Yup, has everything now, and even more with the XRT. My son will be replacing his Tesla LR RWD M3 with the XRT. The M3 is getting pretty long in the tooth now, with 350K kms (new traction battery at 200K kms), and any repairs now would be very expensive compared to the value of the car currently. The XRT does everything (range, fast charging, NACS, etc) the M3 does, but the bonus is he will not need another off-road vehicle just to drive to the cabin. And with 5000 lbs towing, can tow our boat. It's an all in one car.
