Hyundai Ioniq pre-order check in

According to Hyundai's Austrian website, the Ioniq 5 will launch June 2021 with deliveries of the "First Edition" happening in June/July. Pre-orders will probably open -- at least in some markets -- in January if they haven't already, so this thread is for those who have ordered to check in.

It would be great to hear about your order/delivery timeline and maybe what excites you about this car. With enough responses, who knows, we might even be able to calculate the approximate amount of demand.

I'm kind of concerned about the statement that step 3 is a "binding order". Will that mean no cancellations from that moment forward? Seems rather harsh for a brand new vehicle on a brand new platform. Even Tesla offers the option to cancel a pre-order for the Cybertruck up until actual delivery.

Yeah, I'm not sure what's up with that. People haven't even seen the actual production vehicle yet, so it's kind of hard to commit until that, at least, has happened.
