I measure temperature in my Subaru park in a sun interior was 130’F. Exterior tires body glass in range 140’-150’F. As asphalt 150’F.and my artificial turf around 150’F. 1PM.here. After I park a car under enclosure I’m 100’F.interior with open windows .My neighbor is baking his brand new Honda EV expose to south sun with 150’F glass, body ,IMG_2178.webp IMG_2179.webp IMG_2180.webp tires and close windows .i wonder what is interior temperature in that car? My SE in garage sits in 75’F.comfortable.I’m sure are some States hotter than that.

IT'S HOT! I don't think my a/c has stopped running for more than 3 min at a time all day. I tried to get some stuff done this morning to beat the heat, and even by 1030 this morning, i was just completely exhausted doing hardly any heavy work. Trying to get my camper ready for the holiday weekend coming up. packing, sorting, getting stuff together, etc. HOT
and worse tomorrow and wednesday too! I'm in CT.

Low 90s here in N Texas. Added some insulation to the garage door, so my SE no longer bakes in the afternoon, when I'm at the house. Windows are still open in the house. (I try not to turn the AC on until July, but each year that is getting harder and harder.)

As I’m in a brick house ranch 1200 sq ‘ basement 1200 sq ‘ on slub I’m running AC window units from May to November Friedrich as they should be a best 4 of them bc weather here is brutal being 74 years old I need a comfort inside a house basically for wife bc I take any 100’ F. weather without an issue as what help me with electric bill my solar panels since 2014 still doing great job and with EV for 9 years I hardly have bill of $50 throughout a year being crazy I clean my panels in winter from snow with 25’ contraption as house is not tall structure. As being environmentally crazy 74 years old I collect in N Y. Rain water with 600 gallons system to water my garden to make my only grandchild better future. As for today as an our infrastructure is in 1950 fifties my son as a dentist / endonotist have to cancel all appointments bc entire neighborhoods was without a power and we talking about $5000 loss but he can absorb this what about people who stack in buildings no AC now elevators no food as a previous administration put billons to rebuild a Electrical grid did nothing and what new Trump administration doing about. As I have candles batteries and a camping staff to cook my food I survive being in a country 44 years old fashion European but what about all Americans doing so well without thinking what happens TOMORROW bc we have so good here as nobody else in entire universe!.All transformers blowing out in all neighborhoods in New York leaving people without a power.Nice !Tomorrow 105 ‘F. As is impossible to grow California sequoias in NY that tree I get 2 “ in plastic tube from California now is 30 ‘ tall with trunk 20 “ in size 25 years later and my garden picture with tomatoes cucumbers Malabar blackberries parsley licks and more is doing good !

Are you consider to install solar panels to lover your electric bills as I’m going to give you my brake down what I did in 2014 as I pay $16000 outright for my installation-$7500 tax reducing / for 4 years $1000 State taxes / $4000 and property abetment $1000 for 4 years /$4000 Total $7500 +$4000+$4000 = $15500 that’s means my system installation after 4 years cost me $500 and my bill in 4 years was $0 bc I have EV in 2016 which after i pay about $50 driving EV my I 3 BMW .To go solar as you can go with $ 0 investment is the best what people can do . Leasing take a loan you never go wrong period ! After 11years my system still produces about 30 kWh on good Suny day and in lifetime of 11 years I generate 65.1 MWh to translate to $ 11,710.05 of saving and CO2 Emission saved of 101,170.7 lb and Equivalent 764 Trees planted a picture is show this month production with many days of rain IMG_2185.webp

Interesting, I would love to put solar panels up, have a very large southwest facing roof. But last I checked, about 5 years ago, it would cost me over $10,000 US$ to trim and dispose of just some of the trees that block the sun here, some trees I don't own. Ignoring the fact I'm killing trees to save trees, its gonna be difficult to break even within 20 years, let alone 10. My neighbor started out well 10 years ago, but they currently get little benefit. Those trees grow like weeds. Every time a salesman contacts us about free solar I ask about clearing trees... for some reason I don't hear from them again :)

The ROI is tough even without trees. Right when you're about to break even and turn a profit, you start to have dated equipment, batteries that need replacement, etc. With the credits starting to go away, the value prop is even harder to justify.
At the same time, we're seeing better panels, cheaper storage (lifepo4, sodium, etc) and better efficiencies on equipment to keep more of the generated usable. We're probably near a tipping point where tech advancements make the TCO less and thus more people are likely to jump on board.

So true ! After about 10 years, one of our 2 inverters died. We went with the Generac PWRcell system, which included a new inverter, ATS and an 18kWh battery. I'm not a fan of the system at all, but not a lot of choices for using exisiting solar panels either.

To me is only your age if you are 40-50 you wait for no reason paying your electrical bills is nothing get cheaper is nothing for free as a solar panels producing for 20-25 lover your bills will be cheaper you wait 50 years I bet you get better deals with better technology as our grandparents were using a candles driving EV for free since 2014 with solar panels and mini Cooper SE for 3 1/2 years 000$ bil
Ls for electricity

As I install my solar in 2014 Solar edge invertor not issue but I’m city on greed connection system and as I’m living here for 32 years I basically never lose a power that’s why I I don’t need batteries

I'm waiting for a hail storm so that I can replace my asphalt roof with a metal roof. In the past 15 or so years, the roof has been replaced three times. Once I have a metal roof, solar panels will go up.
