I will post pics of my white modified Clarity soon.
My goal is to make changes that a Honda stylist would have made to the car after the first year of terrible sales. In other words I don't what to "boy racer" it.
I took some ques from the Honda FC in California and painted the hubcaps gloss black instead of the boring factory gray. You may be able to find them on eBay used for around $65 a piece or you could buy $8 Krylon Fusion gloss black Paint & Primer in one and paint them yourself. (Btw: new from Honda ... $275).
Another que that I took from the FC is I had the top of my roof professionally painted gloss black. (Three coats of black and three coats of clear). It looks fantastic! Some people can't tell if it's paint or if it's a natural panoramic black glass roof. Honda FC paints the whole roof plus the rails black. I decided it looks better leaving the rails white and just painting the main portion of the roof.
To send it through a professional body shop this would probably cost between $800 and $1,000. My brother has a body shop and his painter was able to do it for me on one Saturday for under $400. (Perks of knowing people in the business.)
I could stop there and be perfectly happy. The only other two things I may consider is to upgrade the wheels with the modern smoked black Civic Si ones. Also, I've been reading all of your posts and looking at pictures of the blacked out rear skirts. My opinion and verdict is still out on that. I have to think about it a little bit longer.
Blacking out the wheel skirts with a wrap seems to be fairly cheap and inexpensive to do, so I will wait if/when I get the Civic Si black wheels to make my decision.
I posted a teaser picture so far. It's when the car was in the process of getting painted yesterday (4-9-22). I'll post a final picture next week once the roof is wet sanded and buffed out. It's what we call in the business a "cliffhanger".
Hey, I'm a part-time actor. What can I say?

What happened to the follow-up pictures?

Fixed the side flap taking inspiration from above posts. It took like 1 hr to do.

I really like the 19 inch rims. Did you guys have any issues xhaning the rims? With Range or warranty?

I copied into a paint program and enlarged it. Honestly it looks like crap.
