Hole in rear light assembly

Got a hole .22 calibre in the right back light, in the red transparent plastic.
Almost sure they do not sell that plastic piece separately, only whole assembly?
Any way to get it elsewhere?
Any way to fix the hole maybe?

At $280 plus shipping, Clarity taillight assemblies are not cheap on eBay. Time for some translucent red tape?

how did your car catch a stray bullet?

no idea. Just discovered when was washing the car.
Is there some way to melt some plastic and stick it to the hole?

Did it not penetrate the back side? If it did, you would want to remove it and plug both sides to make sure it doesn't collect condensation over time. I guess it also want to do it when humididty is low, but that may not be that important.
