Hiya, have a Mini SE MiniYours Moonwalk Grey arriving in August. Already learned a lot from the posts on here (thanks) and have a load of customisations on order including Veepeak for coding, phone mounts, stub aerial, door handle storage, and seat belt extension. Attached is what’s arriving. I was told that due to the global chip shortage the next delivery would be missing ACC and HUD, so got my order in. My first EV and first Mini, coming from a 2006 Porsche 997 4S so a bit of a change.

Nice car, and nice bonnet stripes. Are those factory? I didn't know you could get yellow pinstripes. Maybe it's a New Zealand thing only.
 
Congrats!! That's quite a change from Porsche 997 4S :)
SE is a fun car but it's not a performance car. It's a sensible car.
Most performance cars are "passion" cars ... at least in my mind.
SE is a good blend. It does not feel like an appliance. It still has character.

stripes are aftermarket organised by the dealer with a sign writer/wrap shop. Don’t have the luxury in NZ of ordering options for a factory build so we have to take what we get and modify.

Thanks. Reality has been that the Porsche sits in the garage not being used, and that performance can only really be unleashed on a track. SE has enough go for around town, and I found the test drives fun. Time to be a good global citizen, plus the price of gas is getting out of hand.
 
Was the black hood scoop an option? My Mini is very similar to yours and I am liking that black hood scoop. Mine seems to look plain in comparison.

It's all a matter of personal perspective. I've owned many cars over the past 55 years, including quite a few small sports cars, but none were as quick as my SE. I experience passion every time I get behind the wheel.
 
Great to meet another Kiwi on this forum. I can see you got your SE MINI Yours from Auckland, got mine from Wellington, had it since Sep 2021.

Will your SE MINI Yours come with the flex charger? And the HK? We missed out on the HK due to the chip shortage.

Also what’s a door handle storage?

Here’s our SE while I was shopping at our local Repco car shop :)

Hi there! Haven’t got it yet, but yes from Mini Garage Auckland. The pictures are of a used one they had on the floor, but I’m getting the same colour and stripes etc.

Not sure, but I think so. Getting both the AC 4U6 and DC 4U7 chargers.

Cool, Aug is just around the corner.

HK = Harman Kardon sound system

Not quite sure, what the AC 4U6 and DC 4U7 chargers are. Kindly update me if you do get the flex charger, as I am very keen to order that.

Mods are quite few here in NZ, so would like to compare mods, mine are:

Stubby antenna
Black waistline
Turned the toggle switches to red
All weather floor mats incl the boot
Mini Car Eye 2 dashcam
seat belt holder

Have you joined the NZ Mini Electric Hatch Group on FB? I also troll that, but not as much as this forum, which I troll too much :)

No haven’t checked out any other forums of FB yet.

Keen to hear about these - what you got and where from:

What’s the decal you have on the C pillar?

Have you used a public fast charger and how are you finding the range? Any long trips?

Got those from Wellington Mini Garage, Auckland should be able to sort you out.

Got the decal from TradeMe. Got a few more decals coming from AliExpress [emoji4]

Yup, been using ChargeNet, don’t have any range anxiety, as mentioned here in this forum, ABC. Yup, done Welly to New Plymouth over the Transmission Gully like a track driver :). Planning to do Welly to Bluff or to Kaitaia over Christmas.

Just a few more weeks, mate. It will be nice to have a sparkling swanky new SE when spring arrives and hopefully better weather to avoid all those splashes [emoji41]
 
How many Aucklanders are here in the forum? I saw another grey SE in Newmarket today at the Vector substation charger, but didn't have time to try to chat to the owner sadly. It was exciting seeing another SE in person, stealthily hiding amongst the mass of petrol Minis.
