Heads Up Display Turning Off

A few days ago, with the outside temperature hovering around 90 degrees, all of a sudden the heads up display turned off, and the following message came up " Heads up display disabled due to over heating" A few minutes later the heads up display reappeared.

Has anybody encountered this problem?
Now if it a problem that should not exist, from experience, dealers will not look at a problem unless they can duplicate it. This is the only unusual thing I have encountered with the car in 3 months of ownership.

Because you were alerted to the problem and because the alert wasn't an error message, this appears to be an anticipated circumstance caused by hot weather and solar heating. I don't know what component(s) in the HUD cannot function at elevated temperatures, but it was clearly easier to beg for forgiveness than prevent the problem. I doubt the dealer can help.
