As a proud Cell Phone Neanderthal, a question has come up regarding hands free operation. With a phone that is paired to the vehicle, if you answer the call (with the steering wheel button or display), is it possible for the passenger to be involved in the conversation?
This may seem like a dumb question, but I have observed how Voice Commands do not work at all from the passenger seat. This is because the microphone is highly directional (aimed at the driver) and perhaps the ANC may also be working to eliminate stray sounds not coming from the driver...
Does the Cell Phone voice also use the vehicle microphone and therefore make it so the passenger is effectively blanked out (not always a bad thing)?
