Front legroom: clarity vs volt

We went to look at the volt today and my son was complaining he can only reach the pedal with his leg fully extended. I am suspecting he did not move the seat fully forward. He has no problem with the seat in my clarity. Anyone knows if the clarity can move the seat closer to the pedal than the volt?

With the Clarity, you can also move the seat up and down, even on the base model. This actually changes your distance to the pedals.
