Yes, it was the dead-pedal coverage that caused me to switch from the OEM winter floor mats to the 3dMaxpider front mats. After each of the first 2 winters, it took significant work to remove the dried salt from the undercarpet at the base of the dead pedal. I still use the OEM winter floor mats for the rear. Even though they don't cover the center hump, I never carry 3 passengers back there. It's easy to remove the large logos from the 3DMaxpider mats by popping off the press-on connectors on the underside. I don't notice the texture-less area that remains after the logos are removed.Look closely at the OEM mats. They do not cover the left dead pedal foot rest. All that water, mud, snow will run down the foot rest and under the OEM mat. Most of the aftermarket brands cover this foot rest partially or completely. Plus, the 3DMaxpider is cheaper. Only $71 for the front pair.
