First impressions of the refreshed Niro

Bjorn Nyland got a chance to check out the refreshed Niro for 2023. Havent watched it yet but I like the newer look. I want to buy an EV like yesterday but from what I hear, this wont reach Canada until the end of the year which sucks for me as Id consider it.https://youtu.be/aEqw7xh2yhY
 
Obviously, they thought the buying public wanted a more aggressive front end. Not sure I like the "droopy eyes" headlights, but they are similar to Kia Soul, so I get it. Also, what's with all the cladding? This isn't an off-road vehicle, so why try to look like one? I've stated before my hatred for piano black plastic, and that rear panel, if you don't choose body color option, is shiny black plastic, I think. Also, the bottom panel of interior doors is a wide black plastic panel, and there's still significant shiny black plastic on dash on passenger side.
