Both users on www.ferrarichat.com, Top Gear America did a track comparison with the Stig driving. :) I think the EV is certainly faster on track, what they don't mention the EV had more brake modifications too.

 
Not exactly a fair test, the electric motor has almost 100 more HP but still a very cool video. Always love seeing a 3x8 on the track

That's the point, EV could produce more power and be quicker. Most don't think EV's as more powerful.
