This news item floored me as I had seen no discussion in InsideEVs. And while we are talking about Tesla trucks and Rivian etc., Fedex seems to have quietly gone the Chinese route.
And Fedex will get there trucks starting this year, not next like the others. Not sure if Covid-19 will affect their plans but we may see Chinese enter the US market in a larger way

The EVs ordered by FedEx will be produced by FDG Electric Vehicles Limited in Hangzhou, China, starting later this year, and then delivered by Chanje Energy Inc. (FDG's subsidiary).
Deliveries will be performed on a rolling basis over the next year, while the Ryder System will provide maintenance and distribution support services."

FedEx Acquires 1,000 Chanje Electric Vehicles
........The EVs can travel more than 150 miles when fully charged and have the potential to help FedEx save two thousand gallons of fuel while avoiding 20 tons of emissions per vehicle each year. The maximum cargo capacity is around 6,000 pounds. All of the EVs will be operated in California.
Curious as to what they mean by"FedEx has been using all-electric vehicles as part of its pickup-and-delivery fleet since 2009."
