The question is, do you actually get the 67 miles (107km) in actually driving? Are you using AC when getting that EV range?
Ok I hope this explanation helps. Trip 1: Home - Work. Trip 2: Work - Home: I Live on Hills area. Start with 47 EV miles on OD reading(purposely didn’t fully charged the car because I don’t need to, 3-4 bars til it is full charge) Trip 1: Going to work will be down hills 2 miles (40-45 mph driving), 1 mile normal street(40-45 mph driving. EV now reads at 50 miles on OD, Yes that’s after 3 actual miles drove and I gained 3 additional miles), Hwy 40 miles @ 40-68mph (flow of traffic in SoCal Carpool). Exit hwy: street 1.5 mile to work(Parked: 6+ EV miles on OD reading). Morning driving, no lights, no ac, no heat, Apply play Breaking Bad on Netflix(long drive, I need some entertainment lol). All Windows up. Weather was great.
So, 47 EV OD reading - 44.5 Actual + 6+ EV left OD reading. Charged = 63.5 @ 66*F(pix).
I’m assuming if I continue to drive like trip 1, that’s what I will get.
Trip 2: Work - Home. Start 63.5 EV miles on OD reading(Fully charged). Street: 1.5 mile, Hwy: 40 miles(60-65 mph driving), exit hwy: 1 actual miles street(-2 EV miles), 2 actual miles up hills(just this alone -7 EV miles lol). Parked: 9 EV miles on OD reading. So, 44.5 actual miles + 9 EV miles left on OD reading = 53.5 “EV” miles vs. starts @ 63.5 “EV”miles Yup lost about 10 EV miles. However when I fully charged at home reading is 56.3 EV miles on OD. Again, I’m assuming if I continue to drive like trip 2, that’s what I will get. The math yield don’t add up: 53.5 “EV” miles, but after fully charged it yield 56.3 EV miles on OD reading. 1/3 of the way home fan was on(cool enough and not humid either). All lights are on, Apple play Breaking Bad on Netflix, LKAS on(night driving). LKAS on and works 90-95% on hwy, LOVE IT! I hope you guys get all that.
The answer is, No. I'm not getting actual EV miles from going home, because I have to climb a 2 miles hills. However, I am getting actual EV miles going to work with 2 miles down hills.
Bottom line, I am getting at least 53-56 EV miles from the EPA 47 EV miles. That’s 15%-20% more. Just wish I can buy the ALL ELECTRIC CLARITY. I won’t need to charge at home. Free Charge at work all they WAY! Free is always good.
