I wish you'd asked more about Tesla charging plans at EA. We know Tesla is working on an adapter and I understand EVgo has a few Tesla plug-in stations. Getting more overlap between the majority EV, Teslas and any fast DC charging network sounds like a good deal to me.

It would also be interesting to hear about equipment abuse. For example, Friday I found and reported a J1772 that had been ripped out the ChargePoint EVSE:

It takes a lot of strength to rip off the latch but it still won't charge until you identify yourself ... which would have released the latch. Abuse of the commons is a thing of wonder and horror.

I tried to charge at my local Whole Foods on Sunday, but the one I tried had a broken connector too. Agree it'd take some amount of effort to break. The one you have pictured is fancier than ours, which I believe are Clipper Creek units without screens.
