I opened my car door to get in and noticed that the A/C was blasting at near full speed at the lowest temperature setting you could put it on (Lo). My car was utterly frigid.

This might be why they maybe pulled the update - it's a pretty bad bug. Well, this and the fact that cars seem to be driving forward when in reverse. :-/
