I've seen a lot of comparisons. Here's one that stuck in my mind:

So the Lancia Delta, DeLorean DMC 12, and the IONIQ 5 do share some design DNA. Giorgetto Giugiaro designed the original Hyundai Pony Coupe which was the inspiration for the IONIQ 5 design. Giugiaro went on to design the Lancia Delta as well as the iconic DeLorean DMC 12.

Hyundai has a new page up now paying tribute to the Hyundai Pony Concept, with some quotes from Giugiaro himself.

Loved the Delorean, see attached photo. Could not believe I saw one in Sudbury. Actually put deposit on Ioniq 5 based on 80's looks
