Here we go again, a Ford dealer forcing F-150 Lightning reservation holders to pay a $5,000 additional mark up, simply to receive their truck at launch.
Whatever happened to "first come, first served"?
Similar to this Mach-E" market adjustment" months ago.
Time to get Ford North America Communications manager Mike Levine to put the screws to this one:mad:

You're lucky it's only $5,000 CAD. Just watch, in the USA, it will be $10,000 USD.
Dealer is located in Foxborough, Massachusetts (see the link provided).
As much as I would like to own one, presently do not have a reservation.
Just pointing out the major flaw in the existing legacy "dealership network" ;)

Well I guess if the vehicle hits the lot, then they will mark it up by $10,000 USD. That seems to be the going markup on the Mach E around here. Either way they win, especially if reservation holder drops out and they get $10,000 vs $5,000.

I think most folks would try to get as much as they could for something they are going to sell if there is a willing buyer for it. The price for housing comes to mind. So I don't blame the dealerships.

When the supply is controlled by those setting prices, it's gouging.

Given that these vehicles must be ordered from the manufacturer, the dealerships are nothing more than adding expense - without benefit.
