Has anyone had a cracked instrument display screen? I've just noticed it a few days ago, particularly in the direct sun. I can't think of anything that might have hit it, particularly since it's behind the steering wheel and I've only gently touched it to occasionally wipe it or push the trip button on the top left. It does get super-hot driving in the direct sun, so I'm wondering if that might be a cause.

At the risk of insulting your intelligence, let me be the first to ask: is it a crack, or a wrinkle/flaw/split in the protective plastic film applied prior to shipment from the factory?

Except at the top, it definitely looks like a crack. OTOH, the lower left corner and right side of the entire display makes it appear that the protective film might still be there.

Fair question, lol, I guess I still have the blue protective wrapping on the door sill because it looks nice. But the middle line is definitely a crack - my fingernail will catch it and I can push it a little. Also, the bottom left and bottom right are actually seem to be de-laminating.

Just a PSA - if you leave the blue film on too long it can get brittle and becomes a pain to remove. Here's a pic of my friend's dishwasher where they left the film on for 4 years:

Sorry to hear that! But, thought it was worth asking in case there was a simple solution.
