color of the map

My wife really likes the map display on the center console. We know where we are going, so it has no practical use. It used be be yellow. So the moving yellow map served a decorative function rather than as a navigational aid. For some reason the map lost its yellow color and is now blue with yellow and green highlights denoting roads and locales.

My question, how do I make the map yellow again? My minor attempts have all failed. The owners manual has not been helpful. My concern is I will change the ambient light colors, that are currently favored. Such a quandary, how to change the map color and leave everything as is.

Bring up the navigation screen, and then press the "option" button between the seats to get to the navigation options. The map has two colors, regular and alternative.

When you select either regular or alternative, it will change the color of the maps.

I have mine on alternative, I can't adjust my eyes/brain to regular.

Here are photos of the menu options that affect map color. The Day/Night setting also changes color.
