Yep, between that and the proposed new EV rebate program introduced in Congress, that would take effect on Jan 1, 2023, you either find one now or have a binding contract with a dealer before end of year to get the tax credit now or later. I don’t think cars from Korea will qualify for the rebate starting ‘23 on the bases of battery minerals used and percent content assembled in US ….. I could be wrong?!

I believe the binding order must be in place before Joe Biden puts his signature to the bill. After that moment, to claim the tax credit, EVs need to be assembled in the US and the batteries must be made with minerals from the US or a country with which the US has free trade agreements (a list of 20 countries, including South Korea and Australia).
