ChargePoint IPO

A lot of L2 free public charging stations are ChargePoint, at least where I live. Wonder how this will impact us going forward. Obviously, a public corp will want to make a profit.

I think their business model is to supply the equipment and let the owner determine any costs for usage using CP network software, so hopefully have a minimal affect.

Based on the YVR DCFC, they seem to also let the owner deal with the maintenance, which in the case of YVR has had many problems as I found out when reporting problems with the charging station to Charge Point. Unfortunately for Charge Point the problem with maintenance reflects more on their brand than YVR's.
