CarPlay issue with calendar

Is it my car or does anyone see the same issue?

Basically, if you use day mode in CarPlay, calendar shows the times in a white font over a white background. It's been like this since they added calendar to CarPlay. Called Apple and they said to check for a 'CarPlay' update by Honda or to try another car. I did try another iPhone and have the same problem so it's not the phone.

I didn’t know about this feature because I use Google Calendar and have my iPhone calendar offloaded.

Exact same issue. Haven’t found a workaround yet.

Figures - Apple kept trying to blame this on Honda.

You can set the phone to do CarPlay only in night mode. So you’d have a darker background for contrast.
