Cant change bluetooth device while driving?

Looks like it's not possible to change bluetooth device when I am driving. When my wife gets in car first as passenger, her iPhone was connected. Then when I get in and drive, its always her music (she has no music library by the way). There is no way to change device until I stop the car (bluetooth devices grayed out while driving). With other cars I had in the past, it's not a problem to change device while driving. Maybe I missed something here?

No, you're not missing anything. Honda is about 10-15 years behind the rest of the industry in Bluetooth connectivity. Every other manufacturer lets you set priority for paired devices so that if more than one is in the car, the one with priority gets connected. With Honda (at least the two we own) it won't even connect automatically to a device unless it was the last one connected. Sometimes when I take my wife's 2016 Pilot by myself, I have to manually connect my phone...it still shows being connected to her phone or not connected to any phone. PITA.

Can you not have her disable Bluetooth on her phone? When I do that, it will automatically connect to the next available phone (I think...I drive solo most of the time).

My husband and I had this problem on our Accord too. Guess Honda still hasn't fixed it.
Disabling bluetooth on the phone you want disconnected works fine. It takes a bit to kick in though.

Tried this the other day when my wife, who was riding shotgun, received a call and it connected to the car's system. When she hung up, I asked her to temporarily shut off Bluetooth on her phone. When she did this, her phone disconnected as it should, but I then had to manually connect my phone...it didn't connect automatically. Thanks Honda for being 10 years behind the industry.

I just confirmed the same sequence. It's disappointing that Honda hasn't provided for a preferred device, and for automatic switchover if the primary phone isn't connected. I don't guess we will ever see those features added to the current models.
