IMG_1991.webp IMG_1990.webp IMG_1992.webp As I open my hutch in SE today in garage my garage doors automatically retrieve and hit a hatch living 2” long parallel scratches deep to primer 1/8” wide as SE survive for 3 years 3 months to be perfect scratch less I wonder if anyone have worse experience which I’m crying about it like hitting mirrors etc.My garage is only 7’ hight and I can’t adjust a pistons on hatch but I put DIY rope to keep a hutch 90’ not 110 ‘ fully open to prevent to happen this again! And my wheels still good without curbs rush with only 18500 miles. As I try keeping Forum going describe yours biggest disasters with your Mini SE you done yourself

My worst was when I had my bike mounted on the roof with a SeaSucker Talon rack and when I drove off it fell off because I hadn't secured the front bike fork properly. The front of the bike came loose at about 20 mph and it twisted and fell off the roof, scratching and denting the roof really badly. Fortunately the moon roof glass wasn't damaged, and the bike did survive. This was the first summer I had my SE. I had it repaired by a body shop and they restored it to factory new.

I got one recently in my own garage as well near the right tail light. It seemed light enough to get out on my own I couldn't do it.

I'm considering doing a full paint correction and PPF at the four year mark, since the loan will be paid and it doesn't look like I'll be getting a newer version in the US anytime soon.

That's reassuring that the SeaSuckers work! That's one nice thing I like about MINI is that all the flush rails are cross compatible with many aftermarket fit kits. Even the U25 is backwards compatible!

I picked up some touch up paint to address a chip on my piano black door handle. Kind of left it for years because it's plastic. We'll see how close of a match it really is.

When I bought my SE there was no roof rail option available, so my roof has no way to mount anything. Which is why I ended up with the SeaSucker. It does work well, but I've upgraded to a foldable e-bike which I can actually fit inside my SE.

I parked next to a palm tree on a windy day, and a frond dropped on my roof leaving a couple of little dents and scratches. I bought a painless dent repair kit, but I haven't tried it, yet.
