Can you drive on empty tank in a Clarity?

I don't remember the name of the thread but this was already written about. A Clarity owner ran out of gas and was able to drive just fine in EV mode to the gas station. One wants to avoid running out of gas though because it's generally not good for the system. Anyway, that's another good reason to keep a significant charge when driving in HV mode.
 
I can attest to this. I have run out of gas a few times and had no problem whatsoever as long as I had EV mode still available. Actually, I'm embarassed to say that once I ran out of gas and EV (both) and was super happy to see that the vehicle gave me a few grace miles to get to a gas station.
