Might have to make another forum for this company.

Nice looking truck, will see what the final cost will be after tariffs.

When in NZ in Feb, saw a number of very good looking BYD models. Why should we not be able to buy them here?
It's strange that Canadians can't buy the MINI EVs made in Zhangjiagang, China, just because the US has set such a stiff tariff for importing Chinese cars into the US. I guess the number of MINIs sold in Canada is so small that MINI doesn't want to set up a separate Canadian distribution network.

What tariff does Canada levy on Chinese vehicles coming to your country?

Don't know, I think they are still working on that.

Nice, I may need to make a trip up from the Minneapolis area once BYDs start showing up. You know off hand what the import to the States rules are ? Is this a possible way to bypass the huge tariffs importing directly to States from China

No I don't. I think some used car dealers do it, but probably not simple, esp with a Chinese car that has high tariffs. I think it is easier to bring a car into Canada than the other way around. I know some people that have moved and they found it easier to sell their old car and buy a another one in the new country.

Thanks RP , I'm going keep watching and researching so that when I do move on from the ID 4 would be nice to have some other ev options NIO, BYD , Xpeng, Li auto

would love to have this for running Uber..

table.webp So as far as China builds junk....while true alot of cheap junk comes from China but check this out..

Look at the rear fold down laptop table ..look how thich it is and look at those sturdy well built hinges(those seemingly small details tell alot about how well it is built).. thats quality, not some cheap plastic fold down I;veseen in others.
