I have bull bars on all my cars but I need opinion on SE bc I build them myself I don’t care about a prize is nothing there for SE . For my Subaru local shop ask $2000 but bull bar from Toyota fit well I just manufacture a brackets myself . What I show on a picture is just make up what I do is just PVC pipes which I transfer to metal pipes .I need to know if this is acceptable and 90’ corners I make better not 90’ .with bull bars I never have a scratch on bumper or butcher SE is not acceptable by all forum members .

I like the curved version sans lights on the Subbie much more.

Doing anything to protect the rear?

(Note: while some might consider such accessories unattractive, I appreciate the need.)

What if you followed the contour of the black "grill" surround? That would preserve the Mini look while still protecting the front.

I like the yellow fog lights. Any idea about how you'd wire them? Would you use a relay switch? Maybe use the empty toggle switch? [Oops, just reread the thread title. Fake lights? Why? Real lights would be much better.]

Bull bar to protect the bumper from collision, but with non-functional lights that get broken instead? I don't get it.

Understood.

I like revorg's suggestion of mimicking the shape/curvature of the grill surround (possibly inverted like on the Subaru). Gloss (piano) black would also look good (in front - don't know about in back).

Project stall I visited 2 shops they are not able to do it ,muffler shop try to bend a 2” pipe but his bender machine is not doing a bend which I can accept.I’m going to try buy something which is on a market recut and welded but they usually 3” no good I need 2” to stay with proportion to a car .once I put this project together I post outcome in later date.

I don't get the concept. You're putting on massive PCV pipe to protect your bumper, which will only keep the bumper from being scratched, but any other impact will crush you bumper. How about just don't run into things?

The PVC pipes are just a mockup. I would never put a bar like this on my car. It is just too ugly. I wouldn't put holes in my bumper cover for that license plate either.

I believe the term is called parallel parking by touch. Quite popular in the NYC area! Ball hitch might provide some light protection as Puppethead recommends.

I get a car in two weeks from random dealer I contact about 20 of them only color was important to me and I ask a dealer do not drill a bumper for plates what will you do when you pic up a car and morons drill a bumper? You ask for next racing green from his lot ? Car as we know was not available from any dealer ,I was just lucky to locate one .Talk to dealer December 15 and drive a car January 3 2022 .PVC pipes were only for dimensions and have idea of proportions.

If I run into thinks I will be driving a tank and PVC pipes getting a valve and I run water through them too..

When I lived in NYC we had a Skyhawk that the previous owner towed a harp from KS to NYC with. The car had a ball hitch. On many occasions I would see a damaged front plate on the car parked behind the Skyhawk. When the car went to its grave the rear bumper was pristine. The rest of the car looked like it had been parked on a NYC street.
