In the Chevy New Roads print version of that same issue, there was another feature article about the further advantages of owning a Bolt when combined with at-home rooftop solar charging. The article is about my girlfriend, who is the South Florida coordinator for the non-profit Solar United Neighbors, and myself. We are singing the praises of the tremendous return-on-invstment of having solar panels on your roof and an EV in your driveway. When battery storage becomes more affordable and readily available, we will score a trifecta.
A couple pictures of that Hyattsville PD Bolt charging at a DC Fast Charger at Bowie Town Center have made their way to Plugshare. Pretty cool, and definitely cool to read that they actually use it (I figured it may have just been a PR car or maybe for limited use and not for full on patrol duties).
