Just took delivery of my 2023 SE 5 days ago and I got Bimmercode and started messing with some of the settings, but I noticed that I don't see HUD as an option. So I can do things like change the lights, PDC, seatbelt warning, but I can't change the startup warning, pedestrian warning sound, or startup chime. Is it because it's a 2023? Anyone else with a 2023 and Bimmercode notice anything?

I was able to code out the startup warnings, enable the pedestrian warning sound checkbox, etc on my 2023 via Bimmercode.

What ODB adapter are you using?

I was able to change all those things on my 2023 with no problems at all. Though I'm using an ENET cable and a lightning to ethernet adapter.

Up here, the two together cost close to $100 (Canadian), I’ll try the $30 Veepeak for a while. ;);)

The two cost me $44.66 + tax on Amazon.com south of the (Canadian) border.
Lol I was going by the direct Amazon links from the BimmerCode site, I’d much rather order them from the US and have them delivered to my US address anyway, especially at just over half the price

I might try the Veepeak for ABRP then, and get the ENET and dongle for coding.
That reminds me to try out the Veepeak and ABRP with the Mini.

I think I remember some folks not having much luck with it. I think the mi3 app (iPhone) wouldn't keep a connection to the Veepeak.

I have been using a Veepeak OBDCheck BLE bluetooth adapter with both mi3 and ABRP successfully.

In fact, I have been using it with ABRP often enough that I recently installed an OBD cable with an on/off switch so I don't have to worry about removing and reinstalling the adapter for battery drain or security concerns:

Good deal - thanks for confirming it works. Not sure where I saw someone having issues with it disconnecting after a few minutes.

Frustrated that I'm not able to access ask the options in Bimmercode. I tried i3 option also and got the same results. I'll take a snapshot later to show what I'm talking about.

Do you turn it On/Off every time you get get in the car?

Do you turn it On/Off every time you get get in the car?

Only when I intend to use it (and remember). I did so consistently for about a week to help ABRP "learn" my SE's consumption under various conditions. As with many things, it can become muscle memory with enough practice. If I were to do it all over again, I would have spent more time finding a higher mounting location for the switch so it's a little easier to reach.

I used 3M Scotch "extremely strong" interlocking fasteners like these to mount both the switch and the end of the cable I plugged the Veepeak into: https://www.amazon.com/SCOTCH-Fasteners-Extremely-Strong-Holds/dp/B00347A8GM/ That will allow me to easily remove the cable & adapter (e.g. before a service visit) and just as easily put them back.

I've been using the veepeak BLE and Bimmercode on my android still can't get all the options on it? I think I'm specifically missing the headunit option. Is there something I need to do to get that option? Eg turn off car or headunit to get the option?
Definitely confused.
