BC Carbon Credits for Condo EV Charging Stations

In this CBC report https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/man-fined-plugging-in-electric-vehicle-1.6396913 I found this sentence rather intriguing:

"Constantine said as of January 2022, businesses and multi-unit residences of five or more units can cash in on B.C.'s low carbon fuel standard by installing chargers and earning carbon credits."

Technically a wall outlet is a charging location, however permission to use that is another story.
As adoption increases, I do agree that many more of these locations are required. (think broken / maintenance deprived public or even privately owned and operated DC or AC charge installations). Particularly long distance travelling with no where else to go (ie: in the event of an emergency or where cold conditions prevail), the demand is going to increase and should be made available.
The incentive to earn carbon credits to supply EVs with energy is a great start...

This could set the precedent for ICE'd charging stations on private property.
