It does not surprise me the fuse was not properly thermally rated or HRC protected, such a trivial part could have caused major implications. Not a really inspiring way to cut costs.

This is ludicrous, jelled LC coolant at its worst... get this stuff out of my car. Not sure a high powered flush will dispose all of this junk from the system, no wonder those Ionics are having such issues.
