People thought that electric becoming cheaper than ICE would happen at the bottom end of the market but Tesla is doing it with the pick up.
Literally the Cyber truck will cost less than a Prius (all things considered) but totally destroys F150 in every way, while being way way greener than a Prius.

My favorite part of the Tesla outside of its performance is how feature complete it is. I love the interior including the simulated marble dash and led lighting everywhere (also all the exterior lights in front and back) but in particular the bed and enclosure (vault) design is beyond awesome! Now Musk has said they will add PV to the toneau cover to add 15 or so miles of range a day a savings that will really add up but is really helpful if you have to limp home in an emergency- can't bring a gas station with you either and spare gas is a serious and dirty hazard. Also says there will be black wraps. But the feature completeness of the bed is beyond awesome as is the way it armors the back window when closed. I wonder if the compressor will inflate the tires automatically or at drivers command for traction- guess it depends on how reliable those systems are. I wonder how awesome its fording ability will be. Is it amphibious to an extent? Could they call the solar toneau a "solar sail?"
I saw someone black out the sale panels in render of a wrap- that made it look more a pickup or yesterday. It makes me wonder if there is a way to give a black variant of the truck the sono motors treatment.

Its like a sky scrapper on the outside, that exterior will need no maintenance. I want them to keep it just a aggressive as it is the prototype. There are going to be so many F150 owners that can't get the grin off their face when they see it on the road for the first time and the trade in rate will be massive. Its taking off in China and they don't do pickups I think the pre-order may exceed the Model 3.

I think for the first time its made the pick up viable in other parts of the world where otherwise the design price performance was simply not compelling enough based on anything the Big 3 has done.

This is just the concept, so would not be surprised to see a lot of things change, incl the looks given all the negative reviews. My son (owns an M3 now) placed an order (nothing to lose with refundable deposit). He hates the looks, but likes the specs. So will wait to see what the final product looks like, and what the competition will be. Sounds like what most pre-orders are thinking based on the many reviews (and interviews) I have seen.
