As GM abandons EVs

Like many, I am disappointed that so many EV manufacturers are walking away from their past investments but I ran into an example last week at this GM fast DC charger.

I found it via PlugShare only 18 miles from my destination. A quick, ‘are you working’ charge and then to Steele MO and back. Although I have an EVgo account, I just used my Visa card and a long charge to reach Jackson TN.

The next day, Friday morning, I saw two $55 ‘pending’ charges. This is a common practice to make sure you can afford to pay for the charge. So I tried the billing phone number to see about an invoice with the kWh but they were useless unless I wanted to buy a GM charger.

Today, the ‘pending’ $55 chargers were replaced with more reasonable numbers but still no invoice showing the kWh and rate. I have low expectations for the future of this fast DC charging station.

I am not too sure this is a EV charger issue...I have had these multiple pending charges (beyond what you have ordered) on my card from places like walmart and apple etc...In fact the apple one stayed for days that I started a dispute with them and they could not find the transaction they were trying to charge but it disappeared after some times and I had to cancel the dispute.
Now I wait till it is no longer pending to decide to proceed or not.
