What a work of art! What a work of engineering! And what an incredible journey between the first Aptera prototypes and the very similar-looking one that will actually come to long-waiting customers more than 15 years later. The wind won't notice much difference, but nothing under the skin is remotely the same.

The original body shape was pretty much just a copy of the "optimal" shape proposed by Alberto Morelli of Torino Technical University in 1976. The current body shape is the result of taking Morelli's concepts and refining them using Computational Fluid Dynamics software to optimize the vehicle's aerodyamics.
