Has anybody used ABRP for route planning? Apparently it will tell you how much battery you would have left, taking into consideration your car, speed, starting SOC, the weather, wind, road conditions and how much SOC do you want left at destination.

Yes, ABRP has been pretty thoroughly discussed on this forum (and maybe other EV discussion sites as well).

Use the search box at the top of the page to find all of those postings to see if they answer your questions.

Yes. And ABRP is incredibly pessimistic for the SE. you will arrive at each stop with much more charge and recharge much faster than the tool predicts. I guess it is better than being overly optimistic. This way you don’t get stranded. If ABRP says the SE can make a trip, you can trust it.

Since it got brought up here, has anyone done any longer term testing with ABRP and live OBD data?

When I was trying to figure out how to get OBD data logging working, I came across a thread from the ABRP devs talking about their prediction algorithm and the lack of real world data for some cars. Feeding it data from the actual car may make it more accurate in the moment but also potentially improve it in general (not sure if they're uploading the data from the OBD trips)

This thread started the discussion but then died off:
