Interesting, though according to the article, it is using the IEC Type 2 (mennekes) 3 phase AC connector, so it wouldn't be usable in North America, since they all have SAE J1772 (IEC Type 1) connectors instead.

That's because the article is out of Oz Land. In NA, it would be a type 2, if it got developed and made available here.
