The Motoring File has revealed a leaked photo of the MINI Aceman JCW J05. Unlike the front and rear leaked photos of the J01 JCW, however, Mr. Bridger has only a rear photo of the hot Aceman.

To my eyes that looks more iike an updated Clubman (with a mere tinge of Countryman influence with the headlights). My preferred MINI model has always been the R55 Clubman, and the Aceman is pretty close. Except for the doors. Rear barn doors are so much more useful than a hatch, and I'd prefer the 3.5 side doors like the R55 since I'd rather have bigger passenger doors like the F56 SE.

I think the suicide doors on the R55 were awesome! The new designs are getting monolithic BMWesque, and perhaps the designs will change after the design team reshuffle.

Not a fan of the wheels but I totally understand the sustainability goals of ~70% recycled aluminum.

The added textures are going to be a nightmare to keep clean!
