So, I am struggling to get an affordable EV. Can we have a sub forum where we list what EV an average earner can afford by state please?

The options are:

New $$$$

Start with a fueleconomy.gov power search of electricity fueled and electric vehicles. Shorter range and fewer seats will be the more affordable.

Dealer Certified $$$

Google search, especially discontinued BMW i3 and recalled Bolt, looking for dealers who list their inventory online.

Used $

Use eBay to look for EVs also Kelly's, Edmunds, and Car Max. EBay completed sales gives an accurate true value cost.

Plug-In Hybrids $$

Only those whose EV range is twice your daily commute. We kept our 72 EV mi, 2014 BMW i3-REx and traded in our 2017 Prius Prime with 25 EV mi range. Over 90% of your miles will be local EV. The gas hybrid engine give long legs if you need to bugout. Look for fast DC option if possible.
